LIFE OF ARGAN: “the world's most expensive oil”----2009

Cold-pressed also known as edible argan oil is produced by pressing unroasted kernels of argan tree fruits.  According to Pierce Mattei, an important public relations firm working in the fashion and beauty area argan oil was ranked the number one cosmetic ingredient.

Argan oil has been a renowned oil in Morocco for centuries, not only because of its flavour but also its wide use of potential skin/hair benefits.

Let’s talk about science:

One of the articles reflect the hydration of skin as positive result, of daily application of this oil on postmenopausal women (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26327867/). Such results were noticed by conducting an RCT where two groups of women were divided into control and cases with a sample size of 30 participants (60 in total). Both groups were asked to apply cosmetic argan oil in the left volar forearm for 60 days. the outcome variable was evaluated by trasnepidermal water loss and water content of the epidermis on both forearms of each group.

The results according to this article demonstrated that Argan oil reduces the loss of protein albumin, which is a vital element for the growth and strength of hair.
